Joining our club is simple, come out to a game, have fun, then speak to one of our Committee members about joining and what benefits you’ll get from joining, please bare in mind you need membership in order to purchase airsoft weapons, this will only be given to members.
On your first game you’ll need to sign a waiver before playing, this is common with almost every club throughout New Zealand, and also ensure you turn up before 10am for our club safety briefing for new players/club members.
Below is from our Constitution:
Eligibility for Membership of CSG: Any person who is at least 16 years old and holder of a current FAL, or is at least 18 years old, will be eligible for membership after a probationary period has been completed.
ACCEPTANCE: The CSG Committee shall consider all applications for membership and has the right to refuse any application for membership. The Committee, at its discretion, may choose not to give a reason for turning down any membership.
DUES: Once a membership has been accepted the member will be required to pay the CSG annual dues. CSG dues will be set by the Committee. CSG membership dues are due on the 1st April each year, and all members will need to be in active process of payment of dues by 1st May of that year for continuation of membership. Committee shall determine that an active process of payment is in effect. Life Members are exempt from dues.
PROBATIONARY RULES: All prospective members must complete a probationary period which will be determined by the CSG Committee and will require the prospective member to do the following.
• Team up with a senior member to learn the rules for a couple of games.
• Use only guns that shoot 1.13 joules or less.
• Use only BIO BB’s.
• Use only BB’s with .28 or less weight.
All time frames shown in this section are a guide and the Committee may reduce or increase the time based on the skills and attitude a probationary member shows.
